Hi everyone. I didn't get time to post yesterday, but I'm hoping the whole weekend will be a bit DFW.

    The weekend so far:
    • Breakfasts from stores
    • WM ran overnight on Economy 7 on both nights
    • Checked banking
    • Checked for surveys
    • HC hung on airer as can't get near my washing line
    • Lunch and dinner from stores yesterday
    • Spent 4 hours at the allotment yesterday tending my future food stores :D
    • DH made two loaves of bread
    • NSD yesterday
    • Taken meat out of freezer for dinner today
The rest of today will be as follows:
    • Possibly got to allotment and plant onions - a bit late but if I don't try I'll have wasted the money buying them
    • Plant more seeds using that same logic!
    • Send DH to pick up 'a few bits' so he pays ;)
    • Lunch and dinner from stores
    • Keep heating off and jumpers on
    • Have an NSD
Might be a bit of a relaxing day by the look of things!

    Morning all,

Just a quick post before I head into the garden to help OH start a compost bin. We can't keep buying the stuff, it's costing a fortune. Anyway we have a big pile of compostables we just need to arrange it in the bin and add water. Big sorting job really. And we need to protect some seedlings. Theme for the day is positivity and action.

    Today I will:
    1. Have a look at free evening primrose seeds I got through the post yesterday. Offer has now expired so I can't re-post, sorry. Done
    2. Do OnePoll, Ipsos and Adpoints. Done
    3. Read newspaper online. Done
    4. Read library book about mental health. If it's helpful I'll post the details on here.
    5. Listen to story tape from Back-Of-The-Cupboard.
    6. Ask TopCashBack to send me my £1.59 as an Amazon voucher code. Done
    7. Find belt that goes with my loose jeans instead of buying a new one. Done
    8. Eat lemon drizzle cake (for OH) and coffee cake (for me) I made half batches of yesterday instead of buying ready made in local shop. As there are only two of us we make a lot of half batches, the freezer is too full at the moment to take any extra stuff. Need to get the freezer tidied and the fridge cleaned out too. Done
    9. Package up food processor to be returned. Bought it yesterday with the money I had saved on petrol by not working > It doesn't do what it says on the box > Will return it tomorrow.
    10. Jobhunting etc...Although this is top of my mind I refuse to give my unemployment the stress of being at the top of my list!

You can see if you have a wireless card. Click Start > Right click My Computer > Click Manage > Under System Tools click the + next to Device Manager> Click the + next to Network Adapters. If one of them says Wireless, then you do. If not, you don't.

My OH had to buy one of these. You just plug it into the USB port and leave it there and it'll let you access your WiFi. (Link)

I got an adaptor from ebay for £3.75 incl postage, some are even cheaper, you dont need the fancy box they come in re your link. My lappy wi fi packed in this week.

    Hi all,
A constructive, tho' peaceful day today:
*Mr f carried on with upgrading our landing/hall/stairwell. He's managed to deal with a nasty area of blown plaster himself, by the looks of things, which is good as I was sure we'd need to get a plasterer in.
*Sewed my dress. Took it slowly & calmly, did not have a sewing strop & have finished it apart from the hem & altering the sleeves to 3/4 length, which I'll do in the week. Free pattern, fabric £12, so that's a pretty money-saving outcome, I think. Mr f's verdict was 'Oooh, slinky....', tho' I think the slink-factor could be down to the fact that there is slightly too much foxgloves & not quite enough dress........lol!
@stitchy - thanks for your tip re ballpoint needles, as they did a good job on that jersey fabric.
*Have loaded the washer already to make use of Economy 7 overnight.
*Have read energy meters & filled in weekly energy-use stats.
*Watered veggies & checked for pests/problems. I really try to make this a habit as it does save us a decent amount of money on buying fresh food once we can start picking stuff.
*Sold another ebay item.....had forgotten I'd relisted a few bits & bobs, so that was a nice surprise.
*Mr f registered for discount card for some or other online seller of camping gear. The deal is you pay £5 for the year, but then you can pay the discount price on everything. My naturally suspicious mind was looking for the catch, but we'll actually save loads more than that just on buying a vastly discounted airbed they're selling.
*Fitted in my size 16 charity shop goal top this morning, so that's another cheapy wardrobe addition I can now wear (have sold all my big clothes)......think I must have moaned an additional lb off during Eurovision......
    Cheers,
    foxgloves x

Sounds like GoOutdoors...if so, they are a reputable company, we've used them for years, and you often make back your £5 on your first purchase. (Link)
