hi.
ive broken my wifes hp g6 laptop. All i did was to clean the fan by using an airduster can which ive used before but this time i decided to open the rear panel and spray directly on the fan and now it won't switch on.
the charging light comes on but doesn't switch on. Anything i can try before i take it to a repair shop?

hold down the power button for 10 seconds
did you spray while it was switched on, and did any liquid propellant come out?!!

ive held the power button for different length of times with battery in and out etc. And yes liquid did come out though it wasn't much. The power was off and battery was out during that time.0

It could be that the dust muck has jammed the fan, and that on trying to start the circuits see that the fan is not moving and for safety it will not start.
Try using a vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of the nozzle to increase suction and try again.0 -
If you're going to try the above, please put an old pair of tights over the vacuum cleaner nozzle... you wouldn't want to lose any loose components to the vacuum cleanerThe quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
