Egg PPI

After finally obtaining my SAR from Egg Banking, I am looking to claim back PPI from both an Egg Loan and credit card.
I have heard about Egg using pre-ticked boxes but I don't know when they did this. I took the loan and the credit card out in 2002.

The Egg loan was front loaded but I cannot find the reference to PPI on the credit card agreement although 3 months after having the credit card, credit card repayment protector was added to the statements.

I have also found another loan agreement which says it will be used to pay off the credit card and because I chose card payment protection, they have included it on the loan.
Could they be allowed to do that?
The agreement has 4 options, all options include repayment including PPI, there is none without it but one of the boxes has been manually ticked and I can only assume that I did that because I signed the agreement.

I have a reason for miss-sell, but do I say about the pre ticked boxes also?

Thanks

Only if you can provide solid evidence to back up such an assertion.

Well I can't, alongside probably everyone else so I won't say it.

I have found on my credit card application something saying free CRP offer taken, then 3 months later it has been added. Original loan agreement for credit card does not say anything about CRP. I also cannot find reference to this in the phone log that would suggest I agreed to this over the phone.

Also, when I got another loan to pay off this credit card, I have evidence in writing that says because I had CRP on the credit card, the loan to cover the balance of the credit card would have PPI on it.

Also, I entered a DMP in 2005 so there was no way I could ever make a claim on this but of course I still repaid the full amount.

If you have reasons for mis sell and the account numbers then make the claims, see what they come back with, let them know about the the CRP on the card and you have proof to show that because of this the loan had it too.

Had a letter from them today saying that they have received my complaint yet the address they have on file cannot be linked to the accounts and to send them proof etc etc.

Yet more of their delaying tactics, considering they finally sent me an SAR last week which proves that I have already provided them with the ID and there is even their own data control stamps on the said ID!!
A stroppy letter sent back today with photocopied proof of the proof of my ID they sent me if you get what I mean!!!
    This company really are something!
