Car Insurance NCD and moving abroad

Out of interest (as I could be moving abroad for 2 yrs) what happens to one's UK gained NCD?

if I was to return to UK after 2 years+ will companies still consider my 9 years NCD?

    Currently 2 years is the oldest NCD acceptable to most insurers.

    After 2 years your choice is currently limited.

    But who knows what the situation will be in 2 years+?

    If you will be owning and Insuring a car abroad, you may be able to use the foreign NCD proof when you come back to the UK. Depends on where you are moving to.
    The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
