Bosch Lawnmower

I bought a Bosch lawnmower on Amazon in August 2010. Today the mower just stopped working and I think the motor may have failed. I wonder if anyone on the forum thinks that this is a reasonable time period for a mower to last. For the record I have used the mower approx 30 times during the last two years, and it cost me £150. I have not been able to make any progress on the Bosch website, or on the Amazon site.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

I am a man who is allergic to Gardening, especially cutting grass.
I have lost count at how many lawnmowers I have gone through over the past 20 years, with going at very long grass ( and I mean Long ! 12''+) and burnt out the motor. The only one that is still standing the test of time and that is 2 years so far is the bosch I bought.
I have been through ( off the top of my head) 2 x qualcast, 2 x flymo and a cheap one bought from B&Q.
You will have to get an independent report done, to show that it has not been misused and any fault was inherent from purchase. The onus is on you to prove that it is their fault, not yours. Can you get this done and be truthful that it hasn't been abused in anyway?
Have a word with Amazon, they may help, but I fear that you may end up paying for repair, rather than them.
My grass has not been cut yet, I have had trees cut down today and the guy also does gardening. He is coming next Friday to cut the , 18'' long grass, with a petrol mower and weed all the paths for £60. I can then get the Bosch out to mow a bit more regularly.
Good luck, but I think you may need to get a lot of proof, to show that it has been faulty from purchase, or has an inherent fault. Try some of the gardening boards, see if anyone else has had an issue with the same model as you have , may give you some idea on how to proceed.0 -
