Forwarding a domain name to Weebly

I understand how to forward my domain name (registered with 123-reg) to Weebly (the tool I used to build the website). That works fine to forward the visitor, although the browser bar still shows the Weebly address once the visitor gets there. Is that unavoidable or is there a way to mask it so the bar only ever shows the proper domain name?

What search terms did you use in Google? I found this in 10 seconds.

and further down in this article is a link which tells you what you need to do in your Weebly account.

I found those too, but wasn't clear whether they just pointed the domain to Weebly (from where the visitor sees Weebly addresses as per my original post).0 -

... that is where the second link comes into play. Without these changes your visitors would see the weebly site with your domain name. But after you made these changes in your Weebly account, they should see your site.
You can test it by doing the changes at Weebly first without changing anything at 123-reg. Then you add the following line to your hosts file on your computer
199.34.228.100 yourdomain.tld
Follow these instructions. You'll need admin rights to make changes to this file. Then visit your domain with your browser. If everything works, make the changes at 123-reg and delete the added line from the hosts file. Beware that it could take up to 48 hours to get these changes to other DNS servers.0 -

Thanks, I have got it working now. 123-reg had given me some instructions on their online chat which I think confused me somewhat!0
