Barclays Home Insurance - Never the same quote twice!

Today I went to quote & purchase home insurance from Barclays via Quidco. However today's quote was higher than yesterdays quote. So I cleared all my cookies etc. and tried again, yet another different price. So I cleared again and tried again and once again the price was different, but this time similar to my original quote from yesterday.

Now Barclays don't ask for many details so I am certain the quote details were identical. At one point I actually had two quotes side-by-side to check and compare them. The price difference between the lowest and the highest was £30 which was about 10% of the cost.

So if you get a high quote it might be worth clearing and re-quoting.

Sort of related...went via Quidco for the barclays home insurance, but when the paperwork has come through the date for when it's due to start is wrong, I phoned up and they were on about cancelling it and issuing a new one, will this mean i won't get cashback? It's shown as being tracked in quidco, might just see if I can cancel then apply again via Quidco as £125 is worth trying for!

Well, further to my post managed to get it cancelled, just tried another quote and it's £20 more than my previous quote with no differences! Gonna try and clear my cookes and do it again!

Well, cleared out cookies and came out back to the original quote (was £20 cheaper than before I cleared my cookies out - weird!).
