Great now I am totally confused. I had noted down posts numbers on the other thread with links and ideas in. The whole lot are now useless.

I do wish things were just left alone.

Lol, i'm of the same opinion. Lost the photo of how to make the table decs and other stuff I had noted now. I quite liked our little group we had going :(

I'm sure if we say what we are looking for something in particular then hopefully someone will point us in the right direction.

  • Hi folks ...
I am thinking about making my own candied peel this year, but don't eat a lot (or any) fruit... so can anyone suggest what i can do with the business end of the oranges and lemons?
(Suggestions involving baking, chocolate or candy-making will be looked upon favourably :) )
    thanks

Squeeze the fruit & freeze the juice until you are ready to bake.

Or drink the orange & grapefruit juice whilst baking a lemon drizzle cake ;)

Thanks - you just reminded me what I bought the ice-cube trays for
  • Having remembered that I actually have no christmas tree at all (it broke last year) I went to a gorgeous xmas garden centre display last weekend and was aghast at the beautiful display of trees. Some of these were hundreds of pounds (eek) - couldn't believe it. I've got a crazy idea in my head about making one. I've seen one online that's made out of cans! Not sure that's my cup of tea and would be rather bulky.

Just wondered if anyone else had ever MADE their actual christmas tree?

How about a 'flat' tree shape using card or paper on the wall and attaching decs - all the bling but takes up little space?

My mum made a broomhandle and coat hanger tree in the 70s, as she didn't want a real tree but would not pay for an imitation tree.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
