  • Love those scrabble decorations. Bossymoo, good luck with your search I always look in the charity shops for scrabble for crafting but have never found one yet :( think they must sell quick.

    Anyone wanting to do the candy sleighs on a budget, Tesc0 have mini packs of smarties half price (1.37 for 18). Three of them fit along the bottom, I shall use them rather than the mini kinders as it works out cheaper :D

    I bought one pack of the Kinder bars (16) but am making 8 sleighs so I think I'll buy the smarties you suggested too, then have just 2 Kinder bars on each one!

    Bought 10 chocolate oranges fom Moggies today, thanks for the 99p tip! Going to wrap them in gold paper and put Rudolph face on the front as seen on another board :)

    Have you looked in home bargains for craft stuff? They have loads of amazing stuff and it's all pretty cheap too!

    Thank you, I am in town on Tuesday and plan to raid home bargains, wilkinsons, the works, tesco and hobby craft (the clearance rail in there!) to fid lots of little crafty bits and bobs.

    Well I am home from argos where I have managed to get everything home without a taxi :T I have however, pulled a muscle in my shoulder:mad:
    Was thinking about wrapping it all so far while the kids are out, but that depends on if the hubby will give me a little massage to sort the shoulder out...... And if I can find the Sellotape :o

  • Speaking of chocolate oranges, a lady who makes buns near me has just started making christmas puddings ;
    Chocolate orange, covered in malteasers (maybe one of you would know how to Mae then stick?) white icing over the top part and finished off with sugar paster green leaves and berries.
    They look fantastic! She is wrapping in cellophane and charging a tenner

    She's probably just used glace icing. She might have added a bit of cocoa powder to it so it blends in with the malteasers if any of the icing ends up on show. Sounds like a cute idea :) Would probably also work well with minstrels.

  • Not happy, I had a few bits and bobs I had purchased from ebay over the year to give to DS at Christmas (he only gets one new present which will be the one he puts on santas list). I had hid them up round Dads in his spare room. DS came home today with the stuff :eek::eek::eek: Dad had found the box, obviously thought they were old toys (as no packaging) and given them too him :mad::mad::mad:

    Six. If he was older and didn't believe in Father Christmas I would have told him the truth and explained that he would have to put them back and wait until Christmas day, but I couldn't do that to him as it would take the magic of it away :(

    I don't know what I'm going to do, probably a trip to £land to get some bits that I can wrap up, so at least he will still have a few extra things to open.

    On the plus side I have a very happy little boy, thrilled with his new goodies.
