Slightly confusing that OP posts under '123helpme123' and 'coinxoperated'....

I found that odd as well but I put it down to coinxoperated was posting his experience. Now ive read coinxoperated a second time it does come across as coinxoperated and 123helpme123 are the same.

I really hope the employer lets you begin the job ... you deserve it and if you don't then it because there must be something else out there for you.

Have you thought that maybe this is supposed to be a lightbulb moment? When the universe seems to work against you every which way then maybe the universe has a plan for you. I understand you have to work due to bills, pressures etc but consider that you have a "calling" and the universe knows that if you should get this job, you will still be working there in 2/5/10 years time and that calling will never be fulfilled.....

I'm not generally someone who believes such tosh but things have come to pass in the past few years/months/weeks which don't always make sense.

Thanks top drawer. I know that it's just a case of waiting for the right chance to prove myself. I'm just going to have to keep focused and work hard at that. Thank you for your comments and thanks to those that have given me actual advice re: the legalities of what's included in a reference.

    'Horrible', 'rude', realistic? Whatever.

If you are sure the reference is fallacious then pursue that. Certainly, that was not the tenor of you first post. Drip-feeding information may result in misguided comment.

If effing up were an occupation, I'd be a leader in my field. All I am trying to convey is that the repercussions can be far-reaching; that you were either right or wrong and that, at this point in time in terms of employment, you should take what you can get and be grateful noone is probing any deeper.

It's not that long since the sh*t hit the fan. Don't expect the spray to diminish overnight.

Step back. Perhaps take a job you could do in your sleep and rebuild your credibility. You're an articulate woman(?), I'm sure you can do it.

Kind of throws the thread into a spin as people have wasted time replying and the thread is disjointed due to posts being deleted.
