UK Cottages/self catering?

Can anyone recommend good cottages/self catering websites? Apart from local tourist offices?

Thanks

it obviously depends on where you are looking at staying, but http://www.cumbrian-cottages.co.uk is a good site for self catering cottages in ....cumbria!! i think they also do the yorkshire dales as well. my girlfriend and I booked a cottage in the lake district with them last october and were pretty pleased with it, was in a really good location
  • Hi, last month me and three mates stayed in Blakeney in Gloucestershire. We used Powells Cottage Holidays

The cottage we stayed at was property number 212, The Old Farmhouse and theres a really nice pub up the road, The !!!! Inn i think. Would recommend staying there, but Powells do loads of other ones

Edit : I cant even say The C O C K Inn without it sensoring it!

I can highly recommend "ENTERKIN Cottage " ,
    Kirkcudbrightshire,
    DG6 4TP
Scotland http://www.cottageguide.co.uk/enterkincottage , we've stayed several times and I'd highly recommend it . Its in a totally unspoilt part of the country " Kirkcudbright" in fact its almost like stepping back in time but with all the mod cons of the future .
  • Hi!
I've booked holidays through Country Cottages once a year for something like ten years and can honestly say every one was excellent. I suspect they're a bit more expensive than some others, but they are worth it! I believe they're on the web at https://www.country-holidays.co.uk. I have no connection with them except as a happy customer.
    Regards
    Kevin
