    I couldn't face reading it either. A perfect example to those who claim that punctuation doesn't matter.
    I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    OP if you just want advise on what compensation to ask for, only you can decide.

    However, make it quantifiable and reasonable and remember there is no harm in asking!
    If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!

    OP needs to ask for any unproductive searches to be taken off their credit file. Also compo, perhaps a discount on the loan rate, if they decide to stay with RBS.

    Just substitute the commas for full stops, and you won't go too far wrong. :)
