Returning Faulty Camera through Amazon to ExpressDealsUK

I bought a camera on Amazon sold by ExpressDealsUK. The camera worked two or three times then failed to turn on.
I emailed the seller through Amazon and there was a number of emails back and forth. They then sent me an address to return the item to.
I returned the camera, paying for next day signed delivery and have proof of delivery and can see the signature. Yesterday 15/5/13
The next day, today(16/5/13) I got an email through amazon to say that my return window had now closed and my return has been refused.
Has anybody any experience of this type of thing?

Sounds like you've put in a returns request with a marketplace seller which isn't actioned by Amazon in anyway.
If you look at the order you can just open a new returns request with the seller, if they don't help you'll need to look at an Amazon A-Z claim:

Keep your tracking and any paperwork the Post Office gave you.
I'd try again with the seller and then go for the claim if no joy.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
You don't say when you bought it and how long you had it before you returned it to them. Can you provide that detail as it might help to explain the response the (automated) emails state...0
