PPI "Assesment" is it just fluff for a silly offer??

Hi, I have already posted on reclaiming discussion - doesn't look as though anyones viewing over the last day so started a new thread (apologies to die hard rulesters :undecided )
Rang to chase Cap1 (Homeowner Loans) today as no response in over 8 weeks from them - that's after they sent a letter to advise they were having trouble getting in touch with Future Mortgages as they had to validate something or other with them, (been going on a year with them now) Received a voicemail this afternoon saying they have sent me an "assesment" form in the post some weeks ago, which I obviously haven't received.
Just wondering what else they might need to "assess" - the guy on the phone was very vague, very muttery and stumbly, I'm thinking it could quite possibly be some kind of an absolutely pathetic offer that they're hoping I'm going to accept - anyone shed any light or had the same kind of dealings???

Just had another call from them advising they have sent a final response letter along with a settlement form for me to sign and return, however he could'nt tell me how much it was for saying that he didn't have that information available to him :mad::mad: Stalling tactics I think!!
I just want to know if anyone could say how much I might be due back
Loan amount 22500.00
Insurance Premium (cash price) 5850.00
Total amount of credit 28350.00
payable by 96 monthly payments of 421.01
commencing 10/08/2003
A.P.R 09.80%
My final payment was made August 2011, after reading the T&C's the PPI only covered for the first 5 years of the loan and my payments were never ever re-assessed I carried on paying an extra near £100 a month for a further 36 months, should this be included? This was put to them too.
By my calculations I think I'm looking at around £9000It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -
Anyone able to advise??
Just to add the payments actually increased up to around £452 a month with varied interest rates of inflation, would that again make a difference? It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!!0 -
