Hi all,
Am looking at Travel insurance for Multitrip / family cover and there are so many companies out there with various premiums some really reasonable for a decent level of cover and some really pricey.
Can anyone recommend a good insurer or a rough typical cost for a medium level of cover?
thanks

I can't recommend one to take - but I would recommend that you think carefully about why some are "reasonable" and some "really pricey". I went with cheap travel insurance (via my bank account with Lloyds) and regretted it when I had to make a claim (in case you are interested you can see my experience: http://insurancecompanyreview.co.uk/insurancereviews/lloyds/ ). If you Google other companies (e.g. Insureandgo) you will see that with cheaper policies, people often have more issues if it comes to claiming. I'd advise reading the policies (or at least the key facts) of a couple of cheaper ones and a couple of more expensive ones and using that to decide who you want to go with.0

Budget prices often mean budget cover but this isnt always the case as some premium brands do go with budget insurance providers and just make a bigger margin and likewise some more middle market brands partner with good providers and make little money and see it as a value add rather than profit making option.
Ultimately read the documents and ensure you are getting the cover you need. Many policies have light baggage cover but then this can be a non-issue if you have Personal Possessions cover on your Home insurance0 -
I have annual family insurance with Axa, never had any problems and excellent service, not the cheapest but good value at £40 for the year.0
