credit card tranferring a balance to a new credit card

in Credit cards
applied for rbs credit card currently have a lloyds credit card i am wondering iff lloyds is part od royal bank of scotland if it is they will not allow me to do a balance transfer does anybody know if the two banks are linked orseperate

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are not linked to Lloyds TSB. You're probably confusing RBS with HBOS (Halifax / Bank Of Scotland).
You should be able to do a balance transfer from an RBS card to a Lloyds TSB one.
Or from a Lloyds TSB card to an RBS one.
