Sorry if this is going to be long....
Called BOS helpline.
Lady told us account numbers of all accounts with ppi.
We then had to call ppi helpline number to make a claim for 2 loans , giving the account numbers the above lady gave us.
Just received a letter back from BOS, Saying 1 did not have ppi(if we have the right account number it does have it). on one of the loans we gave them
The other loan they say does have it..... They have now sent a ch and refunded the ppi for this account.
I am going to dispute the loan they said does not have ppi, but f i cash the ch does that mean that i can never apply for ppi from BOs for any other account. Does the ch mean it is a final offer from BOS for any accounts they hold, iykwim

How can you "dispute" this?little-spender wrote: »I am going to dispute the loan they said does not have ppi,
Do you have categoric documentary evidence that you paid PPI?
If not, a FOS referral is a total waste of time.0 -
As i said If we have the right loan number. Considering it was BOS that originally gave us all the account numbers with ppi,, then are turning round and saying it does not have ppi when we claim . We know we have a large loan that had ppi and assumed that BOS staff had given the right loan numbers.
Maybe i did not make it clear, but what i was asking was- If we cash the cheque, does that mean we can never claim BOS for any other ppi we may have had. on other accounts.McCannfiles : Read the archived Portuguese police files on the case- released 1 year after Maddie's departure.0 -
Not unless the letter says it's in full and final response that that and any other PPI complaint you might make in the future.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Do a Sar request, if the bank gave you numbers of loans with PPI and they now say one does not have PPI you need to get the info.
Ask for all info they hold on you and not just specific items, give the loan account numbers that have the PPI the bank gave you.

You can accept the cheque and cash it as the loan they say had no PPI has not been considered in this claim, if you get the Sar info back and the loan does have PPI then make a claim.0 -
the saga continues...................................................
Right, Bank when called state we have PPI on a loan, We submitted a claim for PPI, and it was rejected as no ppi.
We applied for the SARs report .
Upon looking at the sars, here is what we have found.
1 loan account number , payments going to 2 different accounts. One payment would have been the PPI the other the actual loan. .Bank seems to see this but ppi dont.
When we had the loan it came out as 2 seperate payments,
Anybody had this before or what do we have to do.?McCannfiles : Read the archived Portuguese police files on the case- released 1 year after Maddie's departure.0 -
If it came out as two separate payments, then it was sold correctly, and you could have cancelled the PPI payment at any time.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Taff, thanks for your input, but isn't really the question I was asking.
All due respect to you, but without knowing anything about this then you cannot say whether it was sold correctly or not

If two separate payments came out, one for the loan, and one for the PPI, then at least that part was correct. It's not single premium.
All due respect to you [which usually means the exact opposite when people say that] I can state that.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Ask the bank to clarify what the PPI was on the loan they say does not have PPI on, enclose a copy of the Sar that shows this, ask them to relook at this, you will then get clarification.
You cannot know if it was mis sold because the bank say you did not have it.0
