Do you buy the £1 fruit punnets....

No, purely because I won't shop at our local greengrocer until he stops blocking 3/4 of the pavement with his endless fruit stands and the multitude of signs he keeps sticking out there to plug his mates' businesses. He's really taken it to ridiculous levels lately and it's becoming really arkward to get past with pushchairs and mobility scooters - so I'm boycotting.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I used to work on a fruit and veg stall, the bits we put into the £1 bowls were bits that were not always as fresh as the main contents of the stall, so personally I wouldn't be picking those as I knew they wouldn't have as long a shelf life.

I love our green grocer and miss market stalls, but tbh, I always felt the decision to buy for. Them was also a decision to shop 3 times a week really. Fresh saladings and soft fruits taste better from our green grocers but have a shorter life.0 -
Going to buy groceries in the market you need a bit of luck to be honest.
Sometimes you do get things same priced as supermarkets but even worst quality. However, in summer time, this chance is much reduced. I like buying radish from my local market because they are with their leaves and more fresh. I once bought the"best celery in Europe"from a local shop which indeed was really good and impressive.
As for fruits I still prefer supermarket.a half qualified cat

Of course there are, they're just fermented snotty dusty coughy poo germs:DAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
