Halifax goodwill gesture?

Options
Can any one plz help, as im not sure what to do now?
i started my claim against the Halifax or HBOS, in january for a fiver short of 2k, i waited the usual 40days for my statements and recieved them within time.

I then sent my first template and second template letter's and recieved a letter back saying that that they would investigate blah blah blah, if did not recieve a response within 4 weeks, i sholud contact them - but they have upto 8 weeks too investigate..

i waited the 8 weeks and recieved the responce that the charges correct and lawfull and that they had investigated my claim properly,

i then sent the third template letter and recieved the responce that they would deposit 1k into my account and i have 14days to reply but they do not belive they are at fault and that the payment is not an admission of guilt on their part , and that its the end of the claim....

Question - my claim should realy be near 3k taking into account other charges i have recieved from other company;s ie
credit card'd
car finance & insurance also mobile telephone, as they have made me go overdrawn when i have never had an overdraft with them at anytime and have bounced my other payments - in order to deduct their charges from my account,

can i claim these charges that i have had too pay the other companys back from the bank - as it was their fault not mine and are they still stalling with the goodwill gesture

any advice would be a help......

You could try... but I wouldn't give you good odds. They aren't obliged by law.

What's to stop you claiming back the other charges from the other companies who levied them?
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.
