Software for Syncing/backing up computer image onto a NAS

Hopefully the description says it all however in a little more detail:

I am looking for an application (something like synctoy) which lets me backup the whole image of my laptop and put it on my NAS.

In an ideal world some sort of a 'sync' function that only updates the images with new changes rather than doing a new image every so often.

Any idea guys?

Looking promising. Do you know if there are also any apps which will sync/backup windows settings (i.e be able to select this as a separate option rather than being bundled with data)

its a bit hard to separate windows from its installed applications unfortunately.

Pure data almost every backup solution can be told to ignore certain files or folders, so you could just set it to ignore your data.

Macrium Reflect is often recommended. Make sure which version (free or paid) you want.

the free version doesn't do incremental/differential, same with acronis.

you need to decide if you want an image backup (macrium/acronis etc) or an updated copy of files (xcopy, shadowcopy), or a synced copy of files (various sync utilities, but syncing always comes with a slight danger of the sync deleting the master files, and you need something that can sync open files)

For simple fily copying, FreeFileSync works similarly to (but much better than) SyncToy.
