Hi,I am looking for some help please.I purchased a chest of drawers in a charity shop yesterday. It had a clearance sign on it,down from £20 to £10,so,I decided to buy it.I have paid for it and also paid £15 delivery fee.Got a phonecall this morning to ask where in the store it was located,as the person who sold me it never put a sold sticker on it and it doesn't have a corresponding code. So,I have to go and identify it today, thing is,the lady on the phone seems to think I was undercharged. So,what are my rights? Can they ask for more money if I already paid? This would be under Scottish Law,don't know if it is different?

You are asking for your rights against a charity shop? If they want an extra £10, are you going to kick up a fuss? I'm sure they will refund you if you do not wish to proceed with the purchase.

No, they can't ask for more. An offer of £10 was made and accepted. As you bought in person, the item is now yours. The worst they could do if they got huffy is possibly refuse to deliver, in which case get your £15 back and arrange your own delivery.

Dogger, why the attitude? Just because it's a charity shop, doesn't mean you should just hand over extra money if they ask for it. What if the person buying it was broke, needed a chest of drawers and that was all they could afford. Charity shops aren't just for bargain hunters, some people also use it as it's all they can afford. Not saying this is the case with the OP, but all too often people treat charity shops as some sort of martyr shop. "Oh, but it's for CHARITY!"
If you knew how much the managers made, you might think twice!
