Help getting rid of Buddleia
I have buddleia growing like weeds in the walls surround my yard. One particular piece is so big its starting to split the mortar in the wall quite severely. I have tried normal weedkiller , but its not working. Can anyone advise please? I keen to get rid of it before the wall comes apart any more!

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

There's no reason why glyphosate wouldn't kill it. What have you tried?0

Try cutting across the stem & putting the weedkiller directly onto, or preferably, into the stub left. That may work. Sometimes things need a more direct approach than just the normal spray or dab.0

I've tried Weedol & Roundup so far this year and neither have worked.
My problem is the wall is about 7ft high with a slopping patio (about a 2" drop over 3ft slab if that makes sense) on my side so getting safe access to the top of the wall where this thing is growing isn't easy over a flowerbed and thats why I've used the above so far as I could spray them on. My neighbours garden is overgrown and not used at all (in fact if you could see the house you'd think no-one lived there!) so spraying is not a problem.
Thanks for the suggestion of the Glyphosate. I've never heard of that one so I'll try that next.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Roundup is glyphosate so you have. You need to get the leaves covered well so that the plant can carry the herbicide down to the roots. As you're spraying up high, maybe the plant isn't getting wet enough.0 -
Glyphosate usually takes a few weeks to show signs of its action, but it doesn't fail if you use it properly. For difficult weeds, I paint it on mixed with veggie oil.0

For shrubs, glyphosate has to be applied in a greater strength than the garden centre stuff.
Rosate 360 from ebay is the stuff to go for, drill the trunk of the shrub and dose in concentration, instructions on the pack.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
