Ive downloaded Advanced Systemcare Pro from their website to try but everytime I start Chrome 2 tabs open up. One is my sky.com page but the other is Yahoo Web Search. I do not want it and have search my pc to locate anything involving Yahoo to uninstall. I cannot get rid of it.

Please can someone help me.

Take a look in Chrome settings/Start up - it's probably added as a second page on startup. You start out at the icon with three bars (popup text is customise and control google chrome) - it's on the right of my chrome address bar but these things can be moved around.

AdwCleaner should get rid of spigot which will allow you to remove yahoo through chrome's settings.

Settings > on startup > Open a specific page or set of pages: Click Set pages & remove yahoo by highlighting it and clicking the X to the right..

You might have to change you search engine too.

You see yahoo starting up and the tab behind is my homepage (sky.com)

All I want is to get rid of that.

The answer's in my previous post. Spigot protects changes to the settings. Until you get rid of spigot, Yahoo's going nowhere.

The Spigot Search Settings is an application which is part of the Spigot Toolbar. Spigot searchsettings.exe's purpose is to check periodically your default search engine and restore it to Yahoo in case you agreed to set it to Yahoo in the first place and another application is trying to change it.

You should now be able to remove it manually as above (post #4).
