Mortgage in principle - Go without partner?

Hello
Myself and my partner are ready to buy (she has been offered a job which she will accept)
We have seen a few houses we want to view. Nationwide do not have any weekend appointments for 3 weeks. And she cannot get any time off work in the week.
In order to get a mortgage in principle, could i go to the meeting on my own, but take my partners details with me?

They should not accept this, but they may break the rules to get the application but I doubt it.
Can you not just do it online, same as doing it with an advisor as they are typically non advised in any case.
Aside from this, have a chat with a broker who you are likely to find will be more flexible with hours, contact etc.

How can you prove your income online?Oxfordmark

You don't need to get an agreement in principle with whoever you intend to get the mortgage with. I got one over the phone with Halifax (took about 15 mins) but eventually went with Nationwide (but through a broker).0

Proof of income would be requested as part of a full application, not the DIP.
Ensure any figures you enter online match the payslips/SA302's.
Why Nationwide? Have you compared the market?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hello
I have had a quick look. They seemed the best. I will have another look.
My partner hasn't started her job yet. She is due to do so next week. She has a contract though.
Is this ok?Oxfordmark

Possibly, if she is working out her notice (assume she is as cannot get to the meeting on Mon-Fri) will they not let her off early to see the advisor if you are hell bent on Nationwide.
Alternatively call them up between 5pm and 8pm and they can do it all on the phone outside of working hours.I am a Mortgage Broker

DIP is easy to get over the phone without any proof.
When you decide to proceed with the mortgage they will send a list of what you will be required to send in.
Just been doing this myself with Nationwide - the quality of the call centre staff is very variable and some of them have been a complete joke.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Nationwide seem to the the only lender who will lend us what we need. Santander will only lend £165k
So it is ok to get one of these done even though she isnt starting her new job until next week?Oxfordmark

I mean do it over the telephone with both of them, as outside of work hours.
