Getting copies of old cheques

Don't know if this is the correct forum to post in but advice appreciated.
Does anyone know how easy or otherwise it is to get information or copies of old cheques?
I'm on a mission, trying to sort out my elderly mum's finances and I fear she may have been duped by some unscrupulous people.
I've now got copies of some of her old bank statements and I have (and she has) no idea what some of the cheques refer to.

It is certainly possible but there will be a charge for it. How 'old' are we talking?

We need to go back up to about 7 years ago. I'm currently having problems with the banks trying to get my mum's old statements. They've only given me the last 7 years but I'm sure the rest must be stored on microfiche. We realise there is a charge but the monies involved make it very important to determine exactly what has been happening. There may well be fraud involved.0

At best you'll be able to get up to 6 years worth, but as mentioned earlier, there is usually a charge per copy of a cheque.0

Certainly only 6 years and they will have to be dug out of storage. It will not be a quick process.
As they will be kept at a 3rd party storage facility.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
