I have left Direct Line for another car insurance company and they want proof of no claims they said it would be on my current Direct Line renewal invite, I can't see it anywhere on the renewal invite about proof of no claims - is it alright just to email them my Direct Line papers would that be ok - thanks

Contact Direct line, they will either post/email it to you or directly contact your new insurer

Your renewel won't talk about 'proof' of NCD, but a line somewhere indicating how many year's NCD has been applied in generating your new quote will be sufficient. I'd be surprised if this wasn't somewhere on your renewel?

It just says "Premium after deducting discounts including No Claim Discount" no mention of years

In most cases you can just ring your new insurer and give them the name of the previous Insurer and the Policy number. It should all be accessible to them either through a database or by them contacting Direct Line.

    That's what I always do.
