No-one; he sleeps on his owners' bed normally, so when he stays with us, he sleeps on ours.:o I haven't the heart to shut him in the kitchen, because he'd think he'd done something wrong.:o Just don't tell Luna - we don't want her getting ideas!:D

    Brilliant footage Bitsy,

Thanks for all your kind words today, means a lot, had such a lot of sad news this year x

  • After a good hour cutting the grass, I came in just in time to catch the fly past on the news. Brought back holiday memories.

Back when I was married, we visited the Peak District one year, went to Derwent reservoir just to take a walk around. We were amazed that we had picked the right day as the Memorial Flight flew over, circled around and then came through again. The pilots were amazing as they were flying really low over the reservoir wall. According to one chap we met they were practicing for an official flight.

Hope those suffering exam stress are soon through. I remember the OU exams over the last few years.

Had a letter this week to confirm formal meeting on Monday when redundancy timeline will be revealed. Can't sleep very well at the moment as worrying about how I will manage to pay the mortgage if I don't swiftly find a job.

Keep hoping Betheebee. As someone else said, 1 in 5 is better odds than the lottery.

:rotfl: :rotfl:Luna already has that idea!

I've been to Lady Bower Res but don't think I've ever been to Derwent. Must have been fantastic to have seen that today :)

Island man - bristol airport used to have a nice seating area before security where you could watch the planes take off / arrive. But then they changed it all.....

Bitsy, have you managed to find anywhere to live yet?

    Well my day was interesting.

Usual jobs completed in record time this morning. I managed to fit in a short dog walk, stopping at every lampost to sniff and every few feet to squat and poo (the dogs not me):D.

Homeward bound to do a spot of varnishing on the veranda. The sun has faded the main panelled varnished wall and it was badly in need of re varnishing. I'm three quarters through the whole area and will complete the rest after my jobs tomorrow.

Ive just feasted on night time television. Cried buckets at Paul O'Grady's 'For The Love Of Dogs'. I'm so glad the poor old Staffy hadnt got cancer.

Good to see my runner beans have started to come up. About time too they have been planted nearly a month.:rotfl:

Crocheting i think is not for me. Ive spent the best part of 2 evenings on a circle with 5 sides.... Yes folks it was meant to be a square but looked a bit like a 50p coin :o. Changing tactics slightly i decided to adopt a different method. How come such a small peice of crocheting uses up such a large amount of wool? Ive come to the conclusion i dont have any patience. Its going to take years to crochet anything anywhere near the size of a small blanket. Still, the colours i chose for the wool are nice.

Son came home from college in a bad mood. He went down the garden and found his Dad had chucked his longboard in the scrap pile. I put his longboard in the shed when his Dad wasnt looking because he never used it and obviously his Dad didnt want it in the shed either. So when i finally got him to tell me what was wrong i admitted defeat. The tatty, grotty looking longboard is now back in the house.

Moaning aside (i keep that for my diary) good news. 'Youngest' has been to the college job centre. He says he now wants a job.:T He's got things he wants to buy he says.

    Have a good evening all,

Not been posting much but have been reading most days. Things are up and down at home, trying to keep positive and not get dragged into arguments.

Jools - Have lovely time with your ds in menorca, you are going to the same resort that I am due to visit in August this year. Hope your memories will be good ones for you both.
Julie67 - sorry to hear of the loss of your friend ((hugs)) to you and your family
bethbee - Thinking of you and your family, sending positive vibes to your dsis.
Bitsy - Glad you have sold your house, hope you find your forever home soon.
    Molly ((hugs))

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.
