Double glazed seal units

Options
The doubled glazed sealed units on my windows now have moisture between the two panes of glass. They were installed approx 7 years ago but the previous owner has died and a neighbour says the installer has now gone bust. Would this be covered by group insurance for the block of flats ? Apparently, each individual paid for their own windows and doors at the time. Each person pays approx. £123 each pa. Would appreciate comments please.

Highly unlikely. This would be a gradually operating cause rather than accidental damage or damage by storm etc. Try shopping around to get the units repaired. Some of ours have lasted over 10 years (warranty period) and as they have broken down we have got them replaced one by one as routine maintenance to keep the cost spread.

They don't last forever unfortunately. You could also see if when the repairer comes he could see if there is a supplier name and date on the units when they are taken out as you might find they were supplied by a third party. there is often a sticker on the inside of the frame.
