Wanna buy euros?

Hi
My friend is going away tomorrow so is wanting to get her euros today. Does anyone know the place which will have the best exchange rate or a thread or tool I can use to have a look.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Jules

    Hello shopaholicjules

I'll move your thread to the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

    Regards

the only advice I can offer is be careful of the "comission free" type of sales. they often lower the exchange rate to make their money. Check the rate first.
sorry i can't offer any more help..

post office have good rates, but I found just using my debit card in cash machines in europe was just as cheap and less cash on you. (but your in trouble if the network goes down, this happened to a friend in lanzarote for three days).

    I've been Money Tipped!
Marks and Spencers and the Post Office are usually the recommended places to try. Their exchange rates can be found on their web sites. I think that if you pay by card you need other id too (passport / driving license).

Cheque Centre. I just checked at lunchtime today it was 1.425 euros to the pound the post office is 1.3959 so 2.1% better at Cheque Centre.

I have used https://www.Travelex.com numerous times in the past. Just buy the currency online and the cash you can pick up at the airport at there koisk. Rates were always the best.

    Good Luck
