Dell Laptop key popped off

Hi,
A key on my Dell XPS 17 has popped off and won't stay in place if I try just to slot it back in, the laptop is now about 1 year and 3 months old. I purchased additional next day warranty with the laptop so it is still covered by that but it doesn't cover any "cosmetic" issues such as keys after 1 year according to the support they could only offer to transfer me to the out of warranty team for a quote when I called. Is it reasonable for me to expect it to last longer then a year?
Thanks

Unlikely as usage would vary dramatically from one customer to another. Batteries also have cover which is significantly shorter than the main warranty due to charging repetitions.
I have had keys "pop" off a Dell laptop before, they were easy enough to put back. A little fiddly though.....0 -

I understand about Batteries as these are you expect to degrade after time and then you can easily replace them but keys I just expect them to last at least a few years.0
