27" & a 47" LCD TV

Hi,
Want a to get a 26" LCD to put on the wall of a newly decorated bedroom and get a nice one for front room (42, 47??). I hear the screens for both Sony and Samsung LCDs are made in the same factory, so would choose =Samsung (as cheaper compared to Pony, I mean Sony and like the design of them). I am open to looking at other model's, but none that are too generic (e.g. LondonTech LCD or whatever).
Any prices or recommendations would be great!
Looking for half decent spec - just want to make sure I save some £££.
