I got an email from the Asda Win a bulmers cider competition at 2.46pm today
The email says
Congratulations!!!
You have been selected as a winner in Asda’s Bulmer’s Fruit Cider prize draw.
Your prize, a voucher to spend in participating Asda outlets on a 568ml bottle of either a Bulmer’s Cider Bold Black Cherry or Bulmer’s Cider Pressed Red Grape, will be despatched to the address you provided us with in your entry form.
We hope you enjoy your prize.
Then I got another email at 3.32pm saying this
Asda Competition Winners would like to recall the message, "You're a winner in the Asda Bulmer's Fruit Cider prize draw".
On the original email they have attached a document with a list of all the entrants names, addresses, email address an telephone numbers.
Not sure If I have won now or not.
Someone is going to get in trouble for this one me thinks.
Has anyone else had this email?

I entered the competition but I haven't had either of the emails.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
There is only 101 names on the database which doesnt seem an awful lot tbh0

I think you have won, they would have tried to recall the original email because they accidentally sent out everyones info.

Comp post says there are 100 winners. So it's just the winners on that list you've been sent.0 -
Oh your right that does make sense that I have actually been sent the winners list. Its just when they sent the 2nd email saying we want to retract the previous email that made me think everyone was sent that and I havent won after all.
Oh well great hubby will like that :-)0 -
Yes I got both the emails as well.
The attachment is titled 'Bulmers 100 winners.xlsx'
Includes names addresses, email's and phone numbers !!
but ..WHOOP!!! won cider :beer:0 -
I got this too. Fingers crossed we are actually getting.
And yeah, I'm guessing that someone is in trouble for sending out everyone's details.
Shouldn't imagine that anyone who got the e-mail would actually use people's details maliciously, but at least I never put down the house phone number, just in case.0 -
Similar thing happened to me last month with a Crabtree & Evelyn comp. I replied to the second email saying words to the effect that it was a bit late recalling as everyone's details had been disclosed.
I received a very apologetic reply and a request for my nearest Crabtree & Evelyn shop where a £50 gift card would be available for me to collect in 7 days timewhich it was, good result which was not expected.

Message recall is an Outlook feature that works in an office environment but only if the recipient has not read the message.
For messages sent outside to personal accounts it is fruitless!
I expect the person sending had a panic and tried a recall as a last resort?
If it hadn't been for the recall message I probably wouldn't have even noticed the attatchment in the original email?0 -
I won one as well :j
I rang the promotions company to tell them about the spreadsheet. They said I could make an official complaint, but I not going to get someone in trouble for a simple mistake, after 5 years of comping I'd imagine thousands of people have got my details!Good things come to those who comp0
