Hello really great helpful site has anyone had any luck with firstplus from 2003 we contacted firstplus and got no where said it was with a broker but all our paperwork always had firstplus and the guy who came out to sort the loan out was from first plus .Went to the FOS and they found out it was Lloyds of London and it is still in a que to be looked at will be 2years October just wondering if anyone has had any success as don't hold out a lot of hope thanks .

Lloyds of London is an insurance market. It is not a broker. So, either the adjudicator was on drugs when he said that or you have misread it.
The seller is responsible for the sale of the policy. Not the broker. Only if the broker is an agent of the lender is the lender responsible. First Plus had in house and took on external business.
