This has absolutely nothing to do with your age and more to do with the amount of credit you already have.

By your own admission you already have a mortgage a personal loan and a platinum credit card.

I can only suggest you register with credit expert and find out whats going on with your credit file. For all you know you could even have someone who has taken out credit in your name and you don't even know about it.

I tend to join for a few months before I plan on getting any new credit then close it just after instead of paying the monthly rate all year every year.

Erm no, I am only on 22k a year and I have 4 credit cards, 2 over 5k credit limit the other 2 over 3k limit. I also have a car on personal contract hire which is also listed in my credit file and we still got offered a mortgage of 170k when we were looking late last year.

My wife who earns more than me actually never gets offered as good a credit limit as me due to other reasons, such as she never used to use credit cards much before meeting me and she has had a name change since we got married.

Then you must have a brilliant credit score to get that much credit!

Stick with people like Zopa if you are under 30. Halifax and Tesco and the like are a waste of space!

    Rob

Ive had my Tesco loan for 5 years, and refinanced in twice and I am now 27 years old. I have never had any problems getting credit, except for a period that I just couldnt understand why I was rejected, and it turns out I wasnt on the electoral roll when I thought I was. I could have sworn I was was on it, but I wasnt - are you sure you are on it?
