Changing name on insurance after buying freehold

Hi, hoping for a bit of help with this question...
We moved into a flat within a Victorian terrace last year.
A few years before we moved in three of the four owners bought the freehold from the ultimate owner (who owns the basement flat and developed the building).
The only problem is the home insurance is still in the previous (sole) freeholders name.
We want to change this by either adding our individual names to the policy or by using the freehold company name.
The only problem is the person who holds the insurance is being very uncooperative and not returning calls/emails. The insurers CIS say they can't change it without her permission.
Matters are complicated by the fact the building suffered from subsidence in the past, making it difficult to get an alternative policy.
Any help would be much appreciated.
