Advice on which Tablet to buy

I want to buy my hubby an Ipad/Tablet so he can watch Sky TV when he's working away.
I've read that SkyGo doesn't work on all tablets, could I ask for some advice please.
I don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to waste my money buying something that doesn't do the job.
I'm not very techy so any help would be much appreciated.

Use a Nexus 7 myself, Sky Go runs fine on it. My version is wifi only, but I guess most hostelries have free wifi, and if you have Sky bb you'll have access to Sky wif from the cloud.

Thanks, yes we have Sky BB so I know we can get Sky Go, This is the article I had read which doesn't seem to list many Android tablets.
I'll have a look at the Nexus 7.
Thanks again.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

Sorry if I came across a tad blunt, just saying that there was another way of gaining free access to the web with Sky whilst out and about.:oThat gum you like is coming back in style.0

Just a comment:
Hubby will probably be limited to watching only where WiFi access avalable as:
1) most tablets don't have 3G option. Some top range tablets do.
2) even with 3G tablet watching Sky may get expensive !!
With Sky I think you can get free WiFi as well to the cloud or something similar.0 -
Sky are very strict about what they support, so if your phone or tablet isn't on their list you're stuck (officially) and it won't run. It's up to them to 'allow' devices to run their app.0
