Cats and herbs

Bit of a strange question perhaps.

Had my kitty about 6 months now, I got rid of the few plants I had around the house as Puss was eating them, well not sure if she was actually eating them more pulling the leaves off and spitting them out.

I want to grow a few pots of herbs but Im worried she will just eat them, my main concern obviously being that they will make her ill rather than having them ruined.

What do you think?

I let mine eat them (after checking they weren't poisonous, I hasten to add). She either spat them out and then ignored them or still continues t munch in them. She still eats the living salads we buy so we end up giving her the ends of one and keeping the proper ones in the utility room.

I don't mind her having a nibble, any ideas which ones to avoid? I don't want to give her a bad stomach or worse as I think it's inevitable she will have a go.
