Help needed with viewing/offer!!!!!!

Hi,
My husband and I are viewing a house today at 2pm.
The house is on for £250k, is a 3 bed semi. I thought we were only viewing today as it only came on rightmove yesterday but by chance one of my brother in laws work colleagues mentioned to him that she too is viewing the house on Friday and the only reason that she couldn't get a viewing before this is because the EA said there are 9 viewings today/tomorrow.
So I feel a little worried already... we are FTB's living with my parents, we don't have a DIP though (we have an appt booked for this in the next coupld of weeks) but this house has caught us by suprise.
If we like it I don't know what we should do, I would be prepared to pay full asking price but I don't want to if we can help it, I was thinking maybe start at £242k and go up but I guess if someone offers full asking price we would lose out... but then that could happen anyway..
Any advice on strategy for this would be greatly accepted..

You might not even like it
If you do, then offer what you think it's worth to you, bearing in mind the artifical stamp duty movement at £250,000
If you get it then great, if not, then there are plenty of other semis to choose from0 -
Just go and see if you like it first, then think about the other stuff.Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Why are you waiting weeks for this appointment? You should do it this Saturday.
There are plenty of other brokers out there, if this guy is too busy.
Better still, use one of the money comparison websites to select a mortgage and push it through yourself.
As for price, as others have said at £250k its right at the point of interest for most folks not wanting to pay 3% stamp.
Why risk losing it by bidding too low?
Go in at £250k0 -
