Factor - Flats

First post on this forum and if anyone can point me to the forum that would best answer my question that would greatly be appreciated but I'll try here for now.

Been living in a new flat development for 4 years now. Our factor (LIFE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT) has been the factor for this whole time.

Now and then they sub-contract work to be done on the flats (eg sky dishes fixed, trees planted etc).

It is my and a lot of other residents opinion that there fees are too high. treble that of initial estimates.

I have asked to see copies of the invoices that the sub-contractors have provided them but have been refused access as they have been "archived". Am I within my rights to see these invoices?

many thanks for any help at all.

You don't say where you live, but in many cases a Factor is a convenience rather than a necessity - there's always the option for the residents to self-factor.
