stolen money

I sympathise and hope you manage to get this sorted out.
I've been there myself. Many years back - when I was still living in Grotty Bedsitland I had a theft. I had had a neighbour let in a workman from a certain (only one for that fuel at that time) company and I came back to find a book had been stolen from on top of a bookcase next to the area they had been working on the landlords property at. It was very embarrassing - as it wasn't my book - it was one I had borrowed from a friend. I know for a fact that book was there when I went to work that day and was gone when I got back from work that day.
I was in a cleft stick on that - as I strongly suspect the thief was the workman - but I couldn't prove it hadn't been the neighbour instead. I just knew for an absolute fact that one of them was a thief - but no way of proving which one.
After that - I have always made sure that I personally closely supervise anyone and everyone that ever comes into my place (errr....have been unable to do that with my estate agent whilst selling my house currently...but the EA has been told to stick like glue to viewers' sides when doing a viewing and I think they are well aware they will be held responsible if anything should go missing/get damaged).
So - if any viewer wonders why my EA is 2' away from them at all times - that's why. I thought it was a better idea than sitting there wishing them what they deserved after the event....0
