When I have done work at a clients I plan on leaving a portfolio listing all my services etc. I want to enclose a compliment slip with a personal note basccally saying "thank you for your business", but that just dosen't sound right.
Any one have any ideas, I want to continue in a professional manner but not sound so business like.
Sorry to post such a question but I thought this would be the best place to ask.

I hope you have found my work useful / satisfactory ... not one of those but a word like it! If you have any questions about anything, do contact me.
Please find enclosed a list of all the services I can offer. I hope to be able to help you again in the near future.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Who is it that contacts you for the work? Do the Chief Execs contact you directly, is it through an agency, it is through the appropriate company's HR department? You would want to gear your brochure to the person most likely to call you up again for future work.
If you are hoping for the Chief Exec to say something along the lines of "get Sam back in here for..." then word your personal note according to the type of person they are. If you are working closely with them, you should be able to tell.
Some Chief Execs will like something along the lines of "...adding value..", "...corporate goals.." and buzz words such as that.
Others will be more down to earth, and a note along the lines on having enjoyed working with them together with "hope the birth of the grandchild goes well" or "hope the expansion into Europe" or whatever will show that you have taken an interest.
Tailor each personal note to the individual circumstances.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0
