Our dog HATED the cone. When he had it on, he refused to move with it and just looked really depressed. Our dog walker suggested an inflatable donut and we got one off Amazon. Well, within seconds of putting it on he was his normal self, like it wasn't even there. You need to really keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't deflate though, as sometimes even a small bit of deflation will give them the 'reach'
