Travel insurance pre existing medical conditions

I'm looking for quotes for travel insurance that covers a pre existing medical condition. All of the quotes I've seen through moneysupermarket.com are from companies that I've never heard of and that have been formed in the last couple of years.
If I go with one of these companies and the company folds would I still be protected?
Do you know of any sites that offer reviews of travel insurance companies (a quick google hasn't come up with anything on these companies).

The names will almost certainly just be either (a) an intermediary or (b) a trading name of an insurer.

If you click through and check on the websites you should find who the actual underwriter/ insurer is and they are more likely to be a household name.
