Cash advance, time to show on statement

If I took a cash advance over the counter, in a branch of the bank who operate my credit card, how long would it take the cash advance to show in my online statement? If it wasn't instant, would the available balance be adjusted straight away?

How about if it was withdrawn from an ATM?

Just looking to time my payment back onto the card, as sometimes if a payment is made before a transaction is showing it can still accrue interest.

I think you mean 'recent transactions' list. The answer is within 2 days.

    Yes.

    The same.

Not all cards operate in the same way. With some cards, any payment made will go towards statemented transactions, meaning you won't be able to avoid/minimise interest without clearing the entire balance.

    Which card is it?

The thing is some cash advances take a while to show on the statement, but when they do appear they are dated to the actual date of the transaction.

I don't know if it counts as putting a card into credit if you pay it back straight away when no balance is actually showing.
