Help please: How much to install new gas boiler & system
Hi, my sister needs to replace her very old back boiler/fronted with a gas fire, and 10 rads - its all very old.
Can anyone give a rough idea of how much this would cost.
Sister had a grant a couple of years to insulate the walls and roof - but could not get a grant for the boiler. When she had it serviced last summer she was advised it was on its last legs!! She recently went self employed, and money very tight. A rough idea would be a great help.
Thx

Have a look in the home section.
There is a section called 'is this fair?' where people discuss quotes they've had for things like that, might give you more of an idea.0 -
Hi Essex Maid,
As never enough has said you should get more help with this on the In My Home board so I'll move your thread over there.

If it helps Ive just had a Baxi back boiler removed and 3 radiators replaced downstairs, keeping the older ones and it cost 1700. Had another quote of 1850. We live in the North West.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
£11,860.00 needed = £1,106 in savings

Have a look at:
https://www.mrcentralheating.com
The front page says £699 for the whole lot - you will need to add 3 more rads.
The all you need is to find a decent CORGI red'g fitter. Ask friends relatives for someone reliable...
