Wednesday 15th May - What small DFW things will you do today?

Evening all,
Well today has been a move in the right direction finally. Hopefully I can continue moving forward.
- brought half of DM birthday present and card today with my M&S voucher from swagbucks, will buy the other half tomorrow with with my other vouchers. Even had enough to treat myself to a sandwich for lunch
- got my free coffee from Waitrose
- Popped into boots to use vouchers but women at No7 desk not too friendly. Worked out that if I brought two nail varnish in the offer and use one of vouchers would be buy one get one free so may get them for step DD xmas stocking.
- done swagbucks, need to do onepoll, valued opinions, adpoints etc.
- started to work out the next five days food plan using up what is in the cupboards and trying to come up with a sensible food budget for this week.
- dropped CV into somewhere that I saw a part time job advertised so fingers crossed as hoping will fit into the two days of week that I can work for someone else.
Right off for a meeting tomorrow but thinking what I can do tomorrow to earn some extra money as want to raise £40 in next two weeks.APR NSD - 0/10
Paid off in 2013 so far £125.00
April Money made - £18.000 -
Hi all
2 days until weekend yay! How's that for an uplifting thought?
Carrie - do you get to go too?! If not, then what a shame - no money to be spared
Well, so far today...
-Bought wedding ins (Got 15 £co cashback and £5 giftcard!!! so works out lot cheaper for more cover!)
-Got confirmation that doing focus group tomo - £50 for 2 hours
-Been making sure my exam marking prep is up together ready for training course this weekend
-Worked
- Checked banking
-Emptied piggy bank and had about £5 which went towards grocery shop!
-Sent off email for cashback claim on mobile
-Went for a swim - cancelled membership as from end of June as moving further away (and it's handy on way home from work but 6 weeks off summer means silly to keep it going for time being) so that's some money saved over summer.
I still need to:
-Put things on local fb page/fleabay
-Do a meal plan as wasn't very savvy and forgot we had some stuff!
-Read email!
Hope you have a great evening y'all,

Well, folks, the aforementioned kick up the bum worked. I did do all the jobs on that list and also had a look at my recent ebay income to separate out the postage from the profit. Paid the postage amount back into bank account, as I knew exactly what would happen if I didn't! Oh yes, done it before.....the whole amount would be spent on whatever I'm raising the cash for (in this case some bits of camping gear), including the postage money, leaving a hole in my accounts, so I've nipped my sneaky behaviour in the bud & am now polishing my halo. Grocery budget not gone nearly as far astray as I'd feared. Personal spends budget holding up as long as I don't go mad over the next two weeks, tho' think I only need a reel of purple thread ready to have a go at making my dress.
I did cook the beef & pea kerala & it struck me it's quite a good recipe for using stuff up, such as leftover cooked potato, frozen peas, tomatoes, etc. AND the much cheaper frying steak was fine for it, instead of the rump steak suggested by the recipe. It also felt a bit like a 'fakeaway', so useful when the urge strikes. So after a fairly slow start to the day, & actively finding things to do to avoid updating budgets, I did get a grip in the afternoon & hope everyone else has had a good day.

Hi Everyone
@Carrielovesfanta - Why would this be the case? It does seem extreemly unfair that your OH would be getting to go on holiday and you having to fund it. No wonder you feel put out.
@Determined, oh no, how did your window shatter?
@Stacey - Sorry to hear you've been having a hard time. Onwards and upwards now?
So my day was a low spend day, only £1.50 on parking. Tonights dinner is sausages and oven chips. Too tired to do anything amazing tonight food wise. But have cooked from scratch the last 2 nights so dont feel too guilty.
OH has made his lunch for tommorow, chicken and cheese baguette, and he has also been drinking the coffee at work instead of getting take away this week, really proud of him as it is his only real vice.
Should be able to put some more money into my account tommorow, horray!
Checked banking, we have 2 more bills to go out, 1 big 1 smaller. OH gets paid in 10 days so we ought to do it.
Night all.
