Came across https://www.switchcar.co.uk via autotrader.co.uk whilst looking to buy a 1-2 yr old car. They have an interesting business proposition where they will deliver a car of your choice from their website to a centre near you for you to test drive then you buy it if you like it. They also give you a week's free insurance to make it easier. Prices seem good and the trade-in I've been quoted is OK.

Does anyone have any experience of using them?

Most of their stock looks like ex-lease / company car stock - about a year old with 10-15K on the clock. Their prices seem very competitive with other car supermarkets.

I've just bought a car from them. They're linked with Carcraft, but their prices are much more competitive because they are an online franchise. I've heard some horror stories on here about Carcraft but can only say that I've experienced excellent service from them. The car I wanted was in Newcastle and they transferred it down to Sheffield for me to go view. You lose £50 if you don't then take the car, but luckily I was very happy with it and purchased the car.

How does the trade-in work? Do they always pay out the online valuation or do they worry about scratches & dings etc?
