He sounds like a pi-key to me. have you contacted Trading Standards? They should tell you the legal way to proceed. The fact that you reported him to the police is excellent, as it establishes a history in case he retaliates.

:)Some sound advice here, but a question that I would have been asking is, where did this rogue come from in the 1st place, who sent him round and on what basis, because whoever sent him is obviously as trustworthy as the scaffolder himself;)

I believe also that derogatory terms, such as !!!!!! come under the heading of racial discrimination these days?????????
There are rogues of all denominations, so care needs to be used when making such comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll take the risk there Mr T, :D, I still have the gipsy curse, (fatwa) on me from a previous personal encounter with the thieving pixies :D
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Btw a verbal agreement is only valid in business to business transactions.

    You are mistaken.

I'd suggest that you don't let your husband negotiate any more 'contracts'...how on earth could he think that a scaffolder was a housepainter as well?
You've suffered no real loss here, as the scaffolding is doing no harm, it's up to them to come and collect it.
Since they've threatened you then I'd have nothing more to do with them. If they think they have a case, let them make a civil claim.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
