Nhs pension - can I pay in additional contributions?

I worked for the NHS nearly 25 years ago for a year and a half. Does my NHS pension still exist and is it possible ( or wise!) to reactivate this pension and continue to make contributions even though I no longer work for the NHS. I don't have any other form of personal private pension and am self employed.

Normally with under 2 years contributions, you would have been offered a refund or a transfer to another pension. You usually cannot become a deferred member with less than 2 years so it's unlikely it still exists.and is it possible ( or wise!) to reactivate this pension and continue to make contributions even though I no longer work for the NHS.
No you must work for the NHS to contribute.I don't have any other form of personal private pension and am self employed.
Your only options are to take out a private pension.0
