Halifax Sharedealing Commission Event

May's Commission Countdown event is taking place on Tuesday 21st May. You'll be able to save £8.00 every trade, buying or selling UK shares online for just £3.95 commission between 12pm and 2pm that day.

The usual charge is £11.95 - so for those with accounts who may be planning to re-invest/add to portfolio/re-balance this could offer some value.
However in the true spirit of MSE those considering switching their S&S ISAs to elsewhere, consider this:
Halifax's transfer cost is £25 per stock, as I am/was considering a change with 4 Stocks, selling and transferring the cash (no charge) was a thought but this would still cost cost me 4 * £11.95.
So if I used the offer that would be 4 * £3.95 a saving of £32.
Doing a regular transfer would cost £100.
Of course, I would be out of the market awaiting the transfer but I have some plans to mitigate that through still not having subscribed this year etc.
Probably not many interested and Halifax's recent drop in ISA charges may have quelled many rebels.
